Thermatech were asked to carryout full fire risk assessments and systems audits for this major client. In total over 50 sites were surveyed. Each site would have had major financial implications to the company should they have been effected by fire.
The assessments covered all areas of each site and included evaluation of ‘means of escape’ routes, physical fire separation barrier, fire barrier integrity, automatic fire detection and extinguishing systems. In addition we evaluated the risk from arson attack both internally and externally and advised accordingly. Contact was made to the local fire authority to evaluate the response levels and response times for attendance. The primary focus was ‘life safety’ followed by business interruption.
